IBM Consulting - Windows Administrator and Cloud Engineer
I've been with IBM Consulting for over 12 years. I started as a Windows Administrator on a FEMA contract maintaining a DEV/TEST environment with hundreds of servers and desktops. On that contract I have made significant contributions to the smooth operation and security of the agency's Windows-based infrastructure. One of my most notable accomplishments was upgrading the agency's desktops from WinXP to Win7 and servers from Win2008 to Win2012, ensuring that the agency is always using the most up-to-date technology. Through my efforts, the agency has seen a significant improvement in system performance and stability, leading to increased productivity and customer satisfaction.
On my next contract with DHS my team was tasked with migration of the agency's on-prem infrastructure to AWS. This migration increased scalability and flexibility for the agency and removed the dependency of the on-premises data center that was scheduled to be decommissioned. I was able to deliver the project within the deadline and budget. In addition, I have implemented various security measures to ensure the safety and compliance of the organization's data in the cloud. This includes the implementation of security best practices such as patching cadence, security group rules, and gathering artifacts for regular security audits.
Overall, I have demonstrated a high level of technical expertise and a strong ability to manage and maintain organizations Cloud and Windows infrastructure. I have played a critical role in ensuring that the organization's systems are reliable, efficient, and secure. I am always looking for new ways to improve and optimize the infrastructure and processes.
